The Workshops

Saturday Session 1: The Power of Push

Finding inner strength helps us persevere through the challenges we face both on and off the mat. In this workshop, we will push our physical strength to become physically, and mentally, strong and learn how to apply this to yoga asana arm balances and transitions. This workshop is designed to meet you where you are, you will learn when to modify and how to intensify this series of strengthening movements so you can grow at your own pace.

Saturday Session 2: Shoulder, Spine, and Hip Mobility in Backbends

A practical approach to back bending with confidence and designed for longevity. In this workshop, we will explore a series of anatomically specific activities to help you understand how your unique body moves. This workshop will give you the tools to feel more comfortable moving into these positions and a better understanding of how the body works together to make it all possible.

Sunday Session 1: Core Strength for Inversions

Building a strong core is important for all planes of movements, but it can be hard to put that work into practice once we get upside down. In this workshop, we will explore the strength-building techniques necessary to find stability, confidence, and control during inversions.

.

Sunday Session 2: Awakening Yoga Lunar Practice

Awakening Yoga is founded on the belief that we are all designed to move. That movement exists in every plane, and thus so must we. Through this complimentary practice, we will utilize an array of principles from movement, functional mobility, and yoga asana to expand our perceptions of possibility and our capacity for exploration.

The Lunar Mobility Practice includes considerably less weight-bearing shapes and focuses primarily on joint mobility, spatial awareness, and individual range of motion exploration through the lens of a flowing yoga practice. Be prepared to move, breathe, play, and see what your body is capable of!

Workshop Highlights
  • Join an internationally renowned teacher for a weekend that will give you the tools to advance your practice

  • Learn how to increase and apply core strength in your practice

  • Learn the techniques that will improve you hand-balances

  • Explore mobility and flexibility in new, more constructive ways

  • Experience new ways of movement and learn how to integrate strength and flexibility in the most effective and constructive ways
