Irina’s journey into yoga began on a grey and cloudy day in an even more grey city, more than ten years ago. As she stepped on the mat that very first time, she knew she had found her path. She fell in love with the practice and it quickly became her way of life. That’s when she knew she needed to share this love for yoga with others. She traveled the world to study with great teachers and completed several in-depth teacher trainings in Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga.
Very grateful for and inspired by all of her teachers, Irina created a unique style of teaching that is both intense and gentle. Her love for yoga and life is tangible in every class she teaches.
Irina owns a yoga studio in the Netherlands and is blessed to not only teach at the most inspiring yoga studios in the Netherlands, but also on a mountain in Italy, in a forest in France, and while traveling through Morocco or the USA. Besides teaching ‘in real life’, Irina teaches online classes at Ekhart Yoga and writes for several yoga magazines, such as the Dutch Yoga Magazine, websites on yoga, health and food. Her first book ‘Kopstand in de Keuken’ (Headstand in the Kitchen) was born out of love for both yoga and delicious food.
